One's need for approval is a great leverage for another's power.
In fact, motivation for many actions is predicated on need for approval. Of course, there is no endorsement of exploiting the reality of this precept; on the contrary, its knowledge can be used to extend consideration to another who suffers on the short end of the equation.

We are all artists. We all start out with the same, monochromatic palette: time. Every day, we paint our canvas with this time, and every day, whether we wanted to or not, whether we felt like it or not, a canvas is completed. How artfully, how skillfully we use this limited time determines the painting- a masterpiece or a mere mediocre facsimile- that we sign as the day draws to an end.
